AWA IN THE DESERT

A group of migrants arrives to the coast of Cadiz. The police intercepted them and directed them to a sports center where they would spend the night. Among them is AWA, a 13 years old little girl, dressed like a boy. During the few hours that Awa is on european territory, she remember the most impactant episodes of her route, since the war forced him to flee Marfil Coast with her mother , till she cross the strait in patera. Meanwhile, she tries the scape to look for his cousin Moussa who lives in Sevilla. Through his memories, Awa revives his journey, a long journey full of corrupcion, racism, abuses, mafias, clandestine campaments and impossible borders; a route that starts by the hand of her mother listening the adventures of Akwa Boni, a legendary warrior whose history goes with her and give her strength. She refuges in that in moments of pain, doubt and fear, picturing that those adventures are reflections of their owns, using that as a learning and facing his situacion.
